Blockchain ticketing seemed interesting to me and I tried building a start-up on this idea. Once we took it off the ground, sold hundreds of ticktes & we had our biggest client yet, I decided to pivot to OOVAL, because Web3 ticketing does not solve a real problem.
We had a very good UX and abstracted the entire complexity of the blockchain - I built relayer smart-contracts and an internal solution to handle buyers' wallets to enable easy payments (i.e. credit card, Apple & Google Pay). The buyers managed their tickets on the mobile or web app. It was awesome!
I am still a believer in the blockchain, but mostly for the financial industry.
